China: Slight price increase for Carrefour bananas

Market surveillance data from the Lixi District in Ji'nan shows that the Carrefour banana price has recently shown a slight increase. The Lixia District Price Bureau analysis states that the following two reasons have caused the slight price increase:

1. The average temperature this spring was relatively low, which delayed the ripening process of bananas. As a result, the supply volume was insufficient.

2. The market has recently been quite active and demand is clearly growing.

The Price Bureau predicts that the price will continue to increase, based on current conditions.
