China: Fall in price of coconuts

Most of the coconuts on the Chinese market are produced in Hainan. They can be eaten in any season of the year, but the tastiest and the most mature harvests are in July and August. In fact, coconuts can also be divided into green and red.

This week, the price of coconuts at the Wanbang market showed a downward trend. The main reason is the weather. Due to the large temperature changes, fewer people have come to the market. The second reason is the surplus of the coconuts. This year, farmers had a good harvest, and now nearly 100 tons of coconuts arrive at the market every day. However, the market demand is not that large, so the price is decreasing because of the oversupply.
