Walmart of Mexico and Central America is always looking to offer products that meet the needs of its customers, which is why it is now launching a new line of organic products.
This new line aims to promote healthy eating, since the main advantage of these products is that they are free of chemical pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers, which makes a difference in the taste of these vegetables.
Marjorie Cabezas, Fruit and Vegetable Plant Manager of Hortifruti, at Walmart El Salvador, explained that "consuming organic vegetables entails reducing the amount of chemicals ingested in our food, and this translates into enjoyment of the flavours of your meals."
To supply the Walmart and Despensas de Don Juan stores with these organic products, the company has signed an alliance with AGROCUMBRE, a company dedicated to growing organic vegetables and fruits since 1980, and for whom "organic" is much more than a name; it is a title that has been earned over the years with each of their crops.
The more than 30 years' experience of Walmart's new supplier has allowed it to work with the best and most advanced technology in the market to guarantee the supply of high quality products to retail customers.
The organic products that have been introduced to date are: escarole lettuce, Romaine lettuce, Spring Mix, broccoli, green beans and spinach. For now, these six products will be the only ones available, however, new alliances with other suppliers will make it possible to expand this range.
