Poland: Aid to withdraw apples, pears, plums and peaches from the market

Starting from 6 April, the Polish Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture (ARMA) has started accepting applications from producers willing to withdraw fruit from the market. This measure is related to the continuation of the ban on their import from the European Union to the Russian Federation.

The maximum volumes to be covered by this are:
- 1,999,763 kilos of apples and pears
- 374,960 kilos of plums
- 510,000 kilos of peaches

Applications can be submitted to different ARMA regional branches based on the producers' place of residence or registered office. They must arrive no later than 7 days before the planned start of operations and the withdrawal of products for free distribution or other use, including animal feed, must be completed by 30 June 2018.
