Boix Europe now part of Boix worldwide

On 20 March 2018 Boix Maquinaria reached an agreement with the current shareholder Gremio Vitalis to acquire 100% of the share capital of Boix Europe. Since 2010, Boix Europe has been a joint venture between Boix Maquinaria (50%) and Gremio Vitalis (50%).

This acquisition fits in with the global consolidation strategy of Boix Maquinaria. Boix is the world's leading manufacturer of forming, folding and sealing machines for both solid and corrugated packaging, with Boix Europe as the leading distributor in various European countries. The intimate cooperation between manufacturer and distributor is becoming stronger than ever thanks to the takeover. Customers of Boix Europe benefit from this. Knowledge, innovations and tailor-made solutions for smart packaging solutions will reach customers even sooner. The management of the Boix Europe B.V. remains in the hands of Job Schmidt, who forms the connecting link between the European customer and the Spanish parent company.
