Choice Fruit Alliance expanded its operations in tandem with the continued expansion of surface area devoted to plantation, but management can learn a lesson from the direction of development in the kiwi fruit industry, which is fast becoming unionized. A delegation of 8 people arrived in Hebei on March 27th to start a 3-day information exchange visit where they discussed the alliance's operation models. This exchange visit was mediated by Guo Qiang, Deputy Chief of Quarantine Supervision at the Hebei Import and Export Office of Quality Supervision, Inspection, and Quarantine, and Chen Linuo, Deputy Mayor of Dujiangyan City, Sichuan. The delegation included He Shuqun, Deputy Director of the Farming and Forestry Department of Dujiangyan City, and Yan Zhiqiang, President of Dujiangyan City Kiwi Association.

In the morning of March 28th, the delegation visited the export food safety demonstration area at Xinji Yulong Food Preservation Co., Ltd., a member company of Choice Fruit Alliance, under the guidance of Bian Qinggang, Board Chair of Choice Fruit Alliance and Vice-President of the Pear Branch Association of the China Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Association, as well as Wu Yaqiong, President of Choice Fruit Alliance.
The delegation further participated in a friendly exchange of management related information with Lu Runhang, Vice-director of Xinji City Bureau of Forestry, and Wang Xiaoyu, President of Xinji Yulong Food Preservation Co., Ltd. In the afternoon of the same day, the delegation visited the processing factory for orchards in Xinji City. On March 29th, the delegation visited a demonstration orchard - the Jinzhou Zhou Family Village Orchard - and had an informal discussion of relevant management models with the management team.

The Sichuan Kiwi Association delegation came to visit with two goals in mind. First, to exchange information with Choice Fruit Alliance on management experience, and second, to exchange information on experience in opening up international markets. During their 3-day visit, Choice Fruit Alliance and the delegation discussed current conditions in the kiwi fruit industry and the fresh pear industry, as well as the operations of Choice Fruit Alliance, and their progress.
