China: Japanese veggies intercepted at Shenzhen Port

Recently, a Shenzhen Luohu Entry-Exit Inspection And Quarantine Bureau officer intercepted a passenger who was attempting to smuggle agricultural products into China. In his luggage, the officer found pomegranates, mizuna, lettuces, tomatoes, chilli peppers, chrysanthemums, frozen fishes and other forbidden products.


Shenzhen Quarantine officers intercepted a large number of fresh products from Japan

These products are mainly produced in the Aichi and Fukuoka Prefectures in Japan. The passenger was a citizen of Hong Kong. In line with the regulations, all the products were confiscated and destroyed.
