Global Berry Congress delegation visits LBP

During the three day Global Berry Congress, which was held in Rotterdam last week, there was the traditional delegation tour on the third day. There is so much interest in this that they now organise a number of tours, ranging from a visit to the port of Antwerp to a visit to the University of Wageningen and a tour around LBP.

A group of over thirty companies from over all over the world and all involved in the international trade of berries, were received by LBP with a presentation and a tour. The cooling cells and ripening facilities were visited in two groups, and there was also a look into the packaging department where there are various packaging lines available for packaging, among other items, berries.

The group was also shown the flexible door that BG Door installed as a pilot in one of the eight ripening chambers. "BG Door is a specialist in this, and as the door rolls itself up, you gain a lot of space compared to the standard ripening chamber doors. We are very satisfied," says commercial manager Anton Filippo.

The mixed company with guests from Russia, the Middle East, Malaysia, South Africa, Serbia, Romania, Poland, the Ukraine, Germany and Belgium, but also the Netherlands, was given extensive explanation of the opportunities that LBP has to offer as a logistic service provider.

After 2 hours, the bus with guests moved to the next part of the delegation's trip in Pijnacker. A great opportunity for LBP Rotterdam BV to allow the world of berries to get to know them.
