China: Urumqi postal inspection intercepts areca nuts

An employee of the Express Mail Department of the Urumqi Office for Quality Supervision, Inspection, and Quarantine recently carried out inspections at the Urumqi International Airport Postal Distribution Center. At that time the employee discovered a bag of plant seeds in a package that originated in Indonesia. Upon inspection the employee confirmed that the package contained areca nuts. The nuts weighed 3 kg. The employee intercepted the package in accordance with regulations.
