Fresh Thai mangosteen air freighted to Kunming

The Import and Export Office of Quality Supervision, Inspection, and Quarantine at Kunming airport revealed that a shipment of fresh Thai mangosteens had entered through the Changshui International Airport at Kunming. The shipment consisted of 1,586 pieces and weighed 9,810 kg.

Kunming airport was designated an import and export port for fruit in November 2015 by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine. However, the volume of fruit that enters through Kunming airport is small because the cost of air freight is too high.
