Friweika eG opens week of accessing companies

Germany: Today's teens are tomorrow's skilled workers

The Saxon potato processor Friweika eG has opened the 'Week of accessing companies' with a great event. The company opened its doors to students from 7th grade last Monday, marking the start of this year's week, which will run until next Saturday (17 March). The aim is to attract the regional youth to the food industry and thus attract future professionals.

Deputy Chairman of the Board of Friweika eG Marko Wunderlich and various representatives of Saxon politics emphasized the relevance of specialist staff. Wunderlich: "The highly motivated and well-trained employees in many different professions contribute significantly to the success of the company."

Friweika eG

Friweika eG has existed for almost 50 years and has established itself over the years as an efficient potato and onion farm. About 25 growers are affiliated with the cooperative in Saxony through their own contract cultivation. The company attaches much importance to short transport routes and a good eco-balance. Accordingly, Friweika has three local warehouses with a total capacity of approximately 45,000 tonnes. The clientele consists mainly of wholesalers and retailers, as well as industrial companies in Germany and abroad.
