Jurgen de Witte: “We'll also play an important part in Limburg”

Wholesaler’s Rodiers becomes part of Group A. De Witte

Group A. De Witte has added wholesaler’s Rodiers to its empire. Jurgen de Witte, CEO of Group A. “Rodiers’ history is that of a small, ambitious grocer who built his business into a modern distribution company. It all started 50 years ago, but many investments have been made up till now, to modernise and evolve. Yet the grocer from back then hasn’t completely disappeared. He can be found every day, in our approach to people, the kind service and the striving for quality and perfection,” says Domien Rodiers, business manager and one of the Rodiers cousins. “Nowadays we have a well-developed family business, plenty of cold storage and an extensive fleet of cars. Our storage management is efficient and we have all computerised applications.”

The main seat of Group A. De Witte in Brussels is the centre of 28 branches spread over the most important trade centres in Belgium and the Netherlands, each specialised in a certain product group or region. With a turnover of 300 million euro and 640 employees, Group A. De Witte is the largest fresh produce group in the country.
