Meagan Edwards accepted into Leadership Monterey County Program

Moxxy Marketing Account Manager Meagan Edwards has been accepted into the Leadership Monterey County program as a member of the inaugural 2018 class. A collaboration of the Monterey County Business Council and the Salinas Valley Chamber of Commerce, the 10-month program admitted 27 participants in leadership roles from a wide variety of sectors including agriculture, government and nonprofit businesses and is designed to help professional leaders understand the role their companies and others play in creating and maintaining a thriving economy in the county.

The 2018 Class

"Leadership Monterey County will help Meagan further deepen her understanding of the issues facing our local community, which will better arm her to offer strategically sound marketing and communications recommendations to Moxxy’s clients," said Karen Nardozza, president and CEO of Moxxy. "Many of Moxxy’s clients are agriculture and ag-related organizations, including associations and nonprofits as well as ag production and ag tech firms. Meagan is already serving and engaged in national and regional ag and fresh produce organizations, so focusing on local issues is a logical next step in the development of her expertise."

In addition to heightening awareness of what drives economic progress in the area, the Leadership Monterey County program will benefit Moxxy and their clients by allowing Edwards to build a foundation of collective advocacy and gain a deeper understanding of what is needed to ensure area businesses get the support they need to grow.
