Export price of watermelons from Myanmar to China keeps falling

A committee executive of the Muse Chamber of Commerce committee for Sino-Myanmar border trade, has stated that fruit import was on hold because of the Chinese Spring Festival. As Chinese market demand and purchasing power are falling, the price of Myanmar watermelon exports to China keeps falling. It is estimated that these conditions will remain until after Spring Festival. Statistics show that at the beginning of this month the average price of watermelons was 1700-1800 yuan [268.31-284.09 USD] per ton. That price is already down to 1200 yuan [189.40 USD] per ton.
