"For us, Biofach was once again an important platform for national and international trade fair visitors to show how Landgard Bio can optimally support its trading partners and growers with organically grown products and comprehensive services," said Albert Fuhs, Managing Director of Landgard Bio GmbH. "Bio is one of the most important current food and trade trends, with demand currently outstripping supply. Only with expert planning, production and marketing organic farming will ultimately be truly sustainable for the future and it will be economically viable for everyone involved in the value chain.”
To this end, to the specialist audience at the Biofach Landgard presented exciting ideas and license cooperations with strong partners, which offer consumers additional purchase incentives at the point of sale beyond the purely biological origin of the products. This way, visitors to the trade fair were able to get an idea of how small elements can be introduced to important topics such as gardening and healthy eating in an age-appropriate manner.
‘ISS BIO’ with Achim Sam is a young organic label from Landgard. Entertainer Achim Sam conveys the desire for organic herbs and the joys of a healthy diet in his own charming way - and without lecturing anyone. The product portfolio includes certified organic herbs such as basil, chives, thyme and marjoram - greens in top form. Delicious recipe ideas on the packaging and useful knowledge on the website www.issbio.com complete the healthy ‘ISS BIO’ range and provide consumers with additional information about healthy organic food.
With freshly prepared smoothies, the grower's cooperative introduces people to the variety of organic products. In addition to this, on the four days of Biofach, the cooperative showed what advantages Landgard offers to organic producers as a cooperative with global strengths, regional and local presence and personal and qualified support, as well as being a strategic trading partner.
"In order to optimally meet the high demands of organic farming, planning for organic producers and retail customers is particularly important," says Armin Rehberg, Chairman of the Board at Landgard. "Landgard combines the cooperative principle with the advantages of an internationally professional marketing company. In this way, we can offer our customers maximum availability of high-quality organic products in the ever growing organic segment - and long-term sales reliability for our growers."
In order to continue offering first-class organic products to customers throughout the year, Landgard is currently looking for new, high-performance member companies - regional, national and international.
The opportunities and possibilities of organic farming are putting Landgard in the scope of interested producers. For this purpose, the cooperative last year began converting its own lands, bordering the sites at Straelen and Lüllingen, for ecological use. After the necessary recovery phase, a splendid organic range will be cultivated there through organic crop rotation, implemented as part of a five-year plan to increase biodiversity.
