First time interception of codling moths at Anhui port

An employee of the Huangshan Port Quarantine has said that one passenger on the line from Inchon, South Korea to Huangshan, China, carried 0.55 kg of Chinese chestnuts in their luggage. The Quarantine employee immediately seized the chestnuts and sent them for further examination at the Technical Center of the Anhui Import and Export Office for Quality Supervision, Inspection, and Quarantine. After authentication it was confirmed that these chestnuts contained harmful insects that should be quarantined - ie the codling moth.
