Pakistan government provides seedless kinnow and date trees to farmers

The Punjab Agriculture Department has started the process of providing seedless kinnow and date trees to farmers. The government is spending millions of rupees to provide trees to farmers, trying to enhance the fruit yields and to improve the livelihoods of the farmers.

According to urdupoint.com, the date trees will be provided to farmers from nine different districts: Bahawalpur, Multan, Jhang, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Muzaffargarh, Layyah, Bhakkar and Rahim YarKhan. The date trees are to be provided for free, while kinnow trees will be subsidized.
