The Laixi government has signed a cooperation agreement with the China Refrigerated Distribution and Storage Co., Ltd. They will establish a project for refrigerated distribution with a capacity of 500 thousand tons. According to this agreement, China Refrigerated Distribution and Storage will invest 1500 million yuan [238.85 million USD] to establish the infrastructure for refrigerated distribution and storage at Wangcheng high-tech industrial park in Laixi. After this project is operational, it will become the "national home base for monitoring refrigeration safety" and "the Chinese home base for refrigerated storage and distribution".
