Chinese port intercepts moth infested avocados for the first time

The Zhuhai Import and Export Office for Quality Supervision, Inspection, and Quarantine revealed on their website that their technical center recently discovered larvae in an intercepted shipment of avocados from Jiuzhou port. They were raised and identified in accordance with plant quarantine protocol for avocado imports from Mexico and Peru--this was the first time a Chinese port has intercepted moth infested avocados.
