Canadian tonnage provider Seaspan has acquired a pair of 2006-built 2,500 TEU container ships and will be chartering them to Maersk Line.

According to an article by splash247.com, Seaspan took delivery of one of the vessels Tuesday and the other is scheduled to be delivered before the end of February. These acquisitions take Seaspan’s operating and managed fleet to 112 vessels -including those currently under construction.
