Italy: Agriges research for sustainable agriculture

Agriges will take part in Fruit Logistica in Berlin, 7th-9th February 2018. It will be the perfect occasion to share the latest R&D findings supporting high-quality sustainable productions.

The company is committed to constantly screening the raw materials and finished products to guarantee the traceability of the production process. Particular attention is paid to guaranteeing the absence of contaminating substances such as perchlorates, chlorocresol, heavy metals, nitrates, antibiotics and other unwanted residues.

This is possible thanks to two internal labs (Microbiological and QC) and external certification labs. The Microbological lab develops innovative solutions that can improve the agronomic performance of Agriges products and verifies the microbiological healthiness of raw materials and products. The QC lab verifies the feasibility of new formulas and subjects raw materials and products to strict quality and quantity checks to verify their compliance with law requirements etc. Agriges in fact complies with strict protocols in line with the requirements of the main retailers.

LIETA-VEG is the latest product. It is a vegetable liquid product that renews the long-term fertility of the soil.

Its vegetable origin guarantees the maximum health and environmental safety: the fact that no raw material of animal origin is used means there is no risk of contamination from BSE, Salmonella, Escherichia coli and other pathogens. In addition, there are no chlorocresol, heavy metals, perchlorate, chloride and antibiotics.

LIETA-VEG is made up of vegetable and algae extracts with yeasts and is activated by BPC, an Agriges microbial consortium with growth-promoting bacteria part of the Bacillus spp.. genre.

BPC microorganisms favour the availability of rhizosphere nutrients, mainly phosphorous, potassium and iron. In addition, they can synthesise phytormones such as auxin, cytochinins, gibberellin and ethylene, which regulate many physiological processes such as the formation of new roots or root hairs, vegetative development and plant reproduction.

Experiments carried out at Sele Agroresearch in Battipaglia (SA) showed LIETA-VEG increased the yields of protected-environment fresh-cut crops in terms of fresh weight (+ 14%) and dry matter (+ 5%). Click here for further information.

LIETA-VEG:
• Increases long-term soil fertility by activating beneficial microbial flora.
• Promotes the development of the root system and nutrient absorption.
• Supports growth and improves quality and quantity.
• Helps plants overcome environmental stress.
• Helps plants increase their natural defences against possible harmful organisms.

Finance Manager and Foreign Sales Manager Pio Guarino, Agriges France s.a.s. Director Mauro Barbari, Italy Sales Manager Tullio Santagata, Sara Costa from the Agronomic Department and Promoter Vincenzo D'Errico will welcome guests in Hall 11.1 - Stand B-01.
