The weather has been wreaking havoc in Almeria since the start of 2018, especially in the area of the Poniente.

After more than 200 hectares of greenhouses in production were damaged on 6 January, last week the Poniente reported some damages in greenhouses located in the municipalities of Roquetas de Mar, Vícar and La Mojonera.
Heavy storms have been accompanied by hail, which has fallen unevenly in the aforementioned areas. One of the most affected areas has been the area that goes from La Mojonera to Cortijos de Marín. While some greenhouses have suffered less severe damages, others have completely collapsed due to the weight of the hail accumulated on their roofs.
