"Our wasabi paste is a mixture of of wasabi and horseradish. The Asian taste in wasabi paste flavor is relatively hot, and contains a relatively high amount of horseradish. Based on market research carried out in 2016, we discovered that European consumers lean towards a wasabi paste with a milder taste. We subsequently adjusted the product content. We raised the proportion of wasabi in the mixture that makes up wasabi paste. This improved the taste of the product, which also met more closely with the European requirements for Japanese style cuisine."

"We possess 14.7 hectares of wasabi plantation at an elevation of around 1500 meters above sea level in the mountainous terrain of Yunnan. Our products, under the label of Artisan Foods, are mainly sold in the domestic market and in Japan. In the last two years, we have started to export to countries in the European Union, as well as The United States. In the last year, Artisan Foods made great strides in the export side of the business. The volume of 43 gr wasabi paste packets exported to Europe has increased with 20%. At the same time, we have established cooperation with famous supermarkets in Europe. The main reason for the increase in export volume is that we focused just in time on the flavor of wasabi paste for the European and American markets."
