An employee of the Gongbei branch of the Zhuhai Import and Export Office for Quality Supervision, Inspection, and Quarantine inspected the luggage of an inbound traveller on January 15th, 2018. The employee discovered 6.7 kg of pumpkin seeds, counting 47 thousand individual seeds. The employee seized and destroyed the seeds in accordance with regulations. In addition, he forwarded samples to the technological centre of the Zhuhai Office for further investigation.
