California Fresh Fruit President pens immigration Op-Ed
George Radanovich, President of the California Fresh Fruit Association, recently penned an opinion editorial for The Hill, a Washington D.C. based periodical, addressing the issue of immigration reform.
Congress has demonstrated an inability to handle the issue of immigration reform in a timely fashion, all the while, U.S. based businesses are struggling to identify an available workforce and comply with U.S. law.
Reflecting on his own time in Congress, Radanovich makes a bold proposal to address the issue of immigration for the agriculture industry via an “Ag Labor Treaty.” Radanovich proposes that President Donald J. Trump move via treaty, trade or executive agreement to negotiate an agriculture employment plan with allied countries.
