Argentina: Pear and apple exports fall

The North Patagonia Regional Center of SENASA released statistical data on the volume and destination country for fruit exports between January and December 2017, as well as comparative tables for 2014-2017, where there is a noticeable decrease in the export of pears and apples.

According to the data, between 2014 and 2017 pear exports to Germany fell by 36%; to Italy by 35%; to the Netherlands by 34%; to the United States by 26%, and to Brazil by 8%.

Meanwhile, apple exports to Brazil fell by 45%; to Denmark by 30%; to Norway by 29%; to Russia by 10%, and to the United States by 9%.
