Uzbekistan to create green corridors to Baltic States & Belarus

Currently, Uzbekistan is working out the issues involved in opening green corridors for fruits and vegetables to its neighbouring countries, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Belarus. This issue was already addressed in the state program ‘Year of support of active entrepreneurship, innovative ideas and technologies’.

Uzbekistan also intends to launch a green corridor for the export of agricultural products to the Baltic states. According to azernews.az, this will significantly reduce the transit times of perishable goods to the Baltic coast, as well as costs for transport and customs clearance. In addition to this, in the future these products can, for example, be sent to the EU countries through the Latvian ports and transport hubs.
