China: 14 kilos of egg fruit seeds confiscated at Luohu port, Shenzhen

On December 8th, employees of the Luohu department for inspection and quarantine confiscated egg fruit seeds from the luggage of a traveller. There were over 400 seeds, weighing 14kg. The seeds are oval and dark brown. Their circumference is 2.5cm. The seeds were mixed with moss and dirt, and some of them were already germinating. The traveller claimed to use the seeds in handicraft for carving. The employee confiscated the seeds in accordance with regulations, and forwarded a sample to the laboratory for further examination.
