Switzerland:

Proportion of organic oranges is small

In October, retailers sold 25 tonnes of organic oranges, which roughly corresponds to the amount sold in the two previous months (September: 34 tonnes, August: 25 tonnes). However, since sales of conventionally produced oranges have risen by more than 60% from 790 tonnes to 1298 tonnes since August, the share of organic oranges fell to less than 2%. In terms of prices, there is a 30 percent difference between organic and conventional oranges.
