"China: "Double certification" may push up the price of leeks"

Recently, some regions reported that leek sellers must pass a "double certification" to enter the market. From now on, every farmer, who wants to sell leeks on the market, needs to obtain two documents: a "certificate of quality" and a "market sales certificate". The relevant departments have already organized collective training for the farmers. The leek "double certification system" is needed to reduce the amount of poor quality leeks on the market. This reform can cause a moderate increase in leek price. The price dynamics will depend on region.
