"China: "11-11" price cheats on famous online shopping platforms"

On November 29th, the Chinese consumer organisation announced the results of their 2017 investigation into prices on online shopping platforms during "11-11". The results of a month-long investigation show that in 16 online shopping platforms, of 539 items, 78.1% were not cheaper. Some items were priced up before the price was lowered, while others were not even lowered in price, but raised instead. The Chinese consumer organisation implicated such famous online shopping platforms as Tianmao, Taobao, JD, and Dangdang.

Every year after "11-11", investigations show behavior such as false discounts, where prices are artificially raised before lowering them. Unfortunately, this year was no exception. This illegal behavior on "11-11" was widespread. It severely damages consumer benefits and also influences the shopping experience of online shopaholics.
