On November 28, a groundbreaking ceremony for Southwest (Pingguo) Cold Chain Logistics Trading Center was held in Pingguo County. The investment for this project was estimated at 980 million yuan. The total area of the Trading Center is about 22 ha with a construction area of 132,000 square meters. Refrigerated storage capacity will be 36,000 tons with a converted value of about 50 billion yuan.
The Center will be equipped with ice areas, high and low temperature reservoirs, fresh-keeping sections, air-conditioned sections, trade areas, e-commerce logistics areas, food processing areas and food testing centers. The project includes modified atmosphere packaging technology and artificial intelligence equipment to store off-season products under aseptic conditions.
