The new Italian golden Dori kiwis have reached Shanghai, and have already attracted interest from fruit dealers who are looking for golden kiwis.

Mr. Giampaolo Dal Pane, Mr. Alberto Raviolo and Mr. Kevin Au Yeung, representatives of Dori Consortium Europe, are very satisfied: "This breed has been developed through 15 years of research and experiments, and we believe that its taste will be very popular amongst Asian consumers. Their entire production process, from the field to the consumers' table, is managed strictly and meticulously. There are large market opportunities for Dori kiwis in China, but we also realize that the Chinese market can be very harsh. That is why we believe that it is best to market such sweet and plump fruits, like our Dori kiwis."

Dori Consortium Europe is now holding many different promotional activities to improve the brand awareness. Mr. Giampaolo Dal Pane, president of Dori Consortium Europe, says: "One month after Dori Consortium Europe was established in 2015, we had already invested in an experimental garden of 3 hectares to guarantee and promote the possibility of large-scale production. What surprised us was that, in February 2016, many large-scale farmers worldwide expressed their interest in growing our Dori kiwis. We already have 100 hectares in Chile now, and will expand this to 150-250 hectares this year, so that we can satisfy the large market demand."

Giampaolo Dal Pane says: "I am very grateful that, apart from our Dori Consortium members, we also have farmers who invested in this special breed, and who are working hard to produce high quality products. Because the market demand is high, we will get a good return."

Mr. Kevin Au Yeung also adds: "We understand that the Chinese market needs time to understand and learn about the special qualities of this new product. However, because Dori kiwis are bright yellow and sweet, have a high dry matter content of 18% and an exceptional shape, we believe that they will become a popular kiwi breed for Chinese consumers. I am also grateful for the support of our Chinese partners. We hope that we can deepen our relationship with them, and bring Dori kiwis to every corner of China."
