Onion export from Lianyungang Port increased during the first three quarters of this year

According to the Lianyungang Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau statistics, in the first three quarters of this year, Lianyungang Port exported a total of 39,000 tons of onions which is 23.09% higher than in the same period last year. Exports were worth 18 million US dollars which is 12.67% higher. The current export situation is difficult, but export volume and prices are rising. Onion is the flagship product of Lianyungang vegetable exports, it accounts for nearly 60% of the total vegetable export of the region. Traditionally, it is mainly exported to Japan, South Korea and the ASEAN countries.
