China: Sweet potatoes confiscated at Nantong Airport

Recently, a Nantong Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau officer checked the baggage on flight ZH9062 from Japan and found sweet potatoes weighing 3,724 g. The baggage belonged to a passenger from China. Since the passenger didn't have the required certificate, Quarantine service officers confiscated the sweet potatoes. It was the first time sweet potatoes had been confiscated in Nantong Airport.
