A few days ago, the official opening ceremony of the groundbreaking industrial site in Yanshan county was held in Yanshan itself. The technology park houses wholesale markets for agricultural by-products and will use cooling distribution for all its operations. The project was financially covered through a partnership between Beijing Xinfadi and the Enji Agricultural Distribution Company from Yanshan. The whole project is estimated to have required a total investment of 1.5 billion RMB. The park will cover an area of about 47 hectares of which the construction site takes up 55 square kilometres. The entire construction project consists of: a business area for the wholesale of agricultural by-products, a cooling distribution site, a storing and processing area, a business services district and complementary residential areas.
