The Chinese Central Meteorological Station reported that, on 26 October, the fields of Beijing, the northwest of Tianjin, the middle of Hebei, the middle of Sichuan, and the west of Chongqing were covered in thick fog the entire morning, causing the station to issue a yellow warning. The cold caused a drop in temperature of 4 to 8°C from 26 to 28 October north of the Huai river. The drop in temperature in the north of Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, and middle of Dongbei might even be over 10°C.
