From January to September

Peru exported less grapefruit this year

Peru exported a total of 1,046,385 kilos of grapefruit at an FOB value of US $1,125,741 between January and September of this year. This shows there's been a moderate decrease from the 1,457,961 kilos worth US $ 1,360,536 shipped in the same period of 2016. 

According to the Agrodata Peru website, the United States was the main market for this Peruvian fruit, as it received 85% of the total shipments. It was followed by Canada (10%), Colombia (2%), Guadeloupe (French Antilles), and other destinations that together add up to 3%. 

Among the main exporting companies - always in the period indicated - are Empacadora y Procesesadora Huamani SAC with 81% of total shipments, CompaƱia de Exportacion y Negocios Generales SA -COEXA (9%), Procesadora Laran SAC (2%) and others that together account for 9%.
