Jazz apples grown in Europe will be available starting this week following the successful season in New Zealand.
The first fresh Jazz apples will arrive out of Southeast France and Italy. In week 43, more will follow from the Loire Valley, which is the largest growing region of Jazz in Europe.
"As a whole, the European apple crop will be smaller this season due to frost and hail damage. But this does not apply to our Jazz apples. Our largest growing region, the Loire Valley, is only affected very little by this."
"This small loss will be brought into balance by the harvest of the young Jazz plantings. In total we expect 8% more volume than in 2016."
New marketing campaign
As part of a new campaign Jazz will be holding tastings in stores, sampling, lifestyle events, trade fairs and other events. To expand the dialogue with fans and customers, a new global Jazz website "jazzapple.com" and Facebook page have also been created.
