“Brent Erenwert, President of Brothers Produce, has resigned from his position to focus on the future of the company. “I am very excited to transition into my new role as Chief Innovation Officer of Brothers Produce Houston,” says Erenwert. “This change will allow me to use my vision and focus on the future as we continue to innovate and enter the next chapter of our surging growth.”
Erenwert believes that the key to the company’s success is the fact that it is not just an average produce company. He has made the change at a time when the company’s sales are higher than ever and feels it is important to focus on how to keep the momentum going. “I have many times said that the best companies became stagnant not because they failed operationally or effectively, but because they lacked the vision to get to the next level,” shared Erenwert. One of Erenwert’s first projects is the creation of a new procurement division, focusing on retail sales, storage, consulting, brokering and transportation.

“I have the most unbelievable executive team and support staff. Without them, I would not have been able to make this transition,” admitted Erenwert. He believes he may be the first ever produce company to create this position, but knows he won’t be the last. Rick Sanders and Don Governale have been promoted within the Executive team to take over Erenwert’s responsibilities. Sanders will be the company’s new President/General Manager. He has been in the produce industry for 40 years and is in 9th year with Brothers Produce. “Rick has had a strong influence in the continued growth of Brothers Produce. In his new role he will oversee all aspects of Brothers Produce Houston,” said Erenwert.
Governale transitions from Director of Corporate Development into Vice President of Sales and Operations. “He has over 15 years of experience in the produce industry and is a visionary with strong leadership skills,” shared Erenwert. “Governale has the ability to leverage operations, accelerate productivity and maintain quality, resulting in multi-unit sales growth and bottom line profits.”
