Marlene's Audi A3 sweepstake goes to Dutch winner

The winner of the Audi A3 Sportback up for grabs in the VOG international competition is a man from Groningen, Netherlands.

The lucky sticker ended up in the hands of Edwin Oost, the Dutch man who bought the winning apple at the store Lubbers Groente en Fruit, located in the shopping centre Paddepoel in Groningen.

It was also there that the prize-giving ceremony took place, together with the delivery of the keys of the A3 Sportback by Kurt Ratschiller and Jeremias Gander from VOG, the Consortium which produces and markets Marlene apples.

Marlene’s Dutch importer, Aarstenfruit, the wholesaler Postuma and a spokesperson for the store were also present.

To mark the prize-giving ceremony, the customers of the shopping centre had the opportunity to taste the five different varieties of Marlene apples sold in the Netherlands.

“I’m glad I could award the prize to the winner myself” said Kurt Ratschiller, head of marketing of VOG Consortium. “Edwin was very lucky indeed. His sticker won over a total of about 120,000 codes entered in the five foreign countries involved: Spain, Belgium, Netherlands, Cyprus and Malta.”
