Grand opening of international expo for intelligent ag in Nanjing

On September 6th, the fourth edition of the international exposition for intelligent agriculture convened in Nanjing (Jiangsu province). The event attracted more than 400 domestic enterprises that took part in it, as well as groups from more than 20 countries and regions, representatives from more than 100 Chinese cities and pioneering enterprises in intelligent agriculture from within and outside of China. Among these the leading 'Mountain Orange Age' brand, the name for drinkable navel oranges from Fengjie county (Chongqing), were specially invited to the exposition. Even more, it was honored with the 'Intelligent Agricultural Project' award for its processing operations of 3.3 billion navel oranges. Its founder, Peng Yang, also shared insights into the industrial environment of navel oranges in Fengjie during the summit meeting. 

At the scene of the exposition, the food samples of drinkable oranges that were provided by Mountain Orange Age were welcomed warmly. An unending stream of new farmers went up to their booth to ask for advice or have a talk. The new logo of Mountain Orange Age was also publicly revealed during the exposition. The new and simple design of the logo caught the eye of many attendees. The 2017 summit for new developments in the Chinese intelligent agricultural industry was the most important feature of this fourth edition of the exhibition.

Being the most influential international forum for the intelligent agricultural industry, this forum took the 'methods for reforming the agricultural industry in this new era' and 'ecological innovation' as its themes. During the exposition, also the leaders of the agricultural department and the corresponding managerial divisions in Jiangsu province were awarded for their intelligent agricultural projects in 2017. "The processing of 3.3 billion navel oranges by Mountain Orange Age" was given the award by the judges due to its strong innovative appeal, strong demonstrability and strong practicality. "

During the summit, a total of 800 esteemed representatives, consisting of agricultural department leaders from all kinds of places, authorities and influential experts within the industry from China and abroad, pioneering enterprises in the agricultural industry, owners of large farms, those responsible for agricultural industry parks, agricultural cooperatives and national and international talents. Against the background of discussing reforms, they talked about technologies, methods and ecological innovation within the agricultural industry. The project 'Mountain Orange Age' was founded to solve three issues: the instability problems farmers face when producing; problems farmers are not capable of resolving themselves; and the limitations of the selling season." The founder of 'Mountain Orange Age', Peng Yang, shared the background story of their project during the summit.

"In order to advance the integration of the primary, secondary and tertiary agricultural industries in China, a sixth industry has to be considered as a new pursuit of innovation within the contemporary Chinese agricultural industry. The sixth industry of navel oranges which was created by Mountain Orange Age started with the oranges that are produced on plantations in Fengjie county. Afterwards they are sent to specialized selection and processing facilities, and later enter a strict distribution system. The innovative brand name has set new industry standards in terms of sales and they have planned a series of touristic activities around citrus. In this way they hope to integrate tourism, plantations and culture into a single base of operations. We hope to make Fengjie popular again, just as it was in the past."
