Debt facility from Union Bank provides Freska with flexibility and opportunities

Freska Produce International, LLC, a marketer of mangos and avocados, announced it has secured $16.9 million of financing with Union Bank.

According to Freska Partner Jesus “Chuy” Loza, “this deal takes us to the next level in business opportunities and development of the Freska brand of products and services. Our constant growth and strong financial results are proof that we have good momentum in the market and we feel very confident in our new financing partner. They brought forward some ideas others didn’t which made it easy to pick them as our new financing partner.”

The new financing provides capital needed to expand warehouse operations in Nogales, AZ and Edinburg, TX and to purchase a new packing house for California avocados. It will also provide capital for opportunities that may arise in the future. Freska currently owns locations in Oxnard, CA, Nogales, AZ, Los Angeles, CA and a location in Edinburgh, TX is being designed.
