First batch of Turkish cherries reaches China

According to a report of the Canton Airport Import and Export Inspection and Quarantine Bureau on 11 August, a first batch of Turkish cherries is about to cros the border at the Baiyun airport in Canton. This batch consisted of 312 cases with a total weight of 1.6 tons. This is the first batch of Turkish cherries exported to China since the 'public announcement concerning the botanical inspection requirements for the import of New Zealand persimmon and Turkish cherries' was issued by the Chinese headquarters of the Inspection and Quarantine Bureau on 27 May 2016.
