China: TMall brings 15°C iced watermelons onto the market

In the afternoon of 6 August, TMall announced its new Beijing strategy, and opened its exclusive Beijing platform. Because the weather was very hot, TMall wanted to offer the consumers a special product and service. That is why it held an activity in Sanlitun, Chaoyang District, called "TMall's Iced Melon Field" with special "refreshments" for everyone.

Iced watermelons

It had prepared 300 sweet, crunchy watermelons. These melons were stored in either a block of ice, or submerged in ice water, and were waiting for people to eat them, or take them home. More than 1000 members had a taste from sample platters.

The event

TMall's "Iced Melon Field" only lasted from 3 until 9 on 6 August. From 7 August onwards, TMall will have several daily, exclusive activities. In its first week, iced watermelons only cost 12.8 yuan online. TMall can also deliver 15°C iced watermelons to your home.
