Everything starts in Manerbio (BS) where La Linea Verde has been operating for over 20 year. An essential element for the success of fresh-cut products is logistics. La Linea Verde works with local company B&B Enterprise, which also cooperates with other leaders in the fresh produce industry. Over the years, in fact, B&B Enterprise has become independent and has its own clients.
The company provides both a logistics service with its own means of transport as well as packaging and store delivery services.
B&B Enterprise owns two covered refrigerated warehouses in Manerbio and Bolgare (BG) and has been transporting "fresh and ultra-fresh" products all over the national territory for over 20 years.
The warehouses in Manerbio (8000 mq) and Bolgare (2500 mq) are managed by 30 operators, while the orders are managed by 20 operators.
The company works in the transport of controlled packaging of fresh food and its core business is the services offered to retailers in the fresh produce sector with daily deliveries all over Italy.
The company owns a fleet of 100 vehicles making 400 daily deliveries for a total of 1.5 million pallets handled in a year. All vehicles are equipped with a satellite anti-robbery system, an ATP refrigerating unit at -30°C, a geolocalisation system and temperature monitors constantly connected with the company's control centre.
There are different vehicles, from trucks ideal for long-distance deliveries to vans for local deliveries. The company employs 100 highly-skilled drivers trained according to the HACCP system. All vehicles are internally washed and sanitised, as the company owns a washing system as well as a petrol station.
B&B Enterprise is flexible and offers an efficient service. It can store the produce in its short and long-term refrigerated warehouses with the possibility of dedicated temperature areas and can manage rapid deliveries to final consumers even for smaller quantities. Without forgetting that picking and store deliveries are also available for the leading Italian chains.
This year, B&B Enterprise attended Macfrut for the first time to widen its client base on a national level.
