HM.CLAUSE show off latest novelties at Melon and Watermelon Event 2017

HM.CLAUSE, a large melon seed business has once again organized a special melon and watermelon event at its research station in Murcia (Spain) during the first week of July. Primarily, the event welcomed the Northern European melon traders, retailers, processors and those focused on export markets.

"The event generated a platform to exchange views with industry professionals about melon and watermelon markets, trends, production processes and customer expectations. The diverse commercial line up, as well as the latest novelties, provided an enjoyable tasting experience and large diversity."

"In orange flesh, HM.CLAUSE is launching 3 new LSL Harpers for the overseas season. In LSL Charentais Karman and Soliman garnered significant interest from the visitors by combining attractive externals and a high internal quality for LSL cantaloupe," representatives of the event said.

They also noted that Saphir was particularly popular among visitors. The LSL Galia were also a cornerstone of the event, with the new Bossa variety, as a complement of CAPOEIRA for the oversea season. The entire Murcia season can be covered with the well-known Lambada along with the recent varieties Salsa (late Murcia) and Bachata.

"In watermelon, the main varieties are the seedless Troubadour and Traveler (counter-season) and the new seedless sugar baby Casildafor Spain," they concluded.
