"Contract farming is a new agricultural production method that has come up in the past few years. It means that farmers or companies can sign a contract with buyers, and then organize their production accordingly. "At the moment, we mainly produce cantaloupes. Our different kinds of melons are provided by Shenzhen Western Huaguo Mountain Agricultural Produce Development Co., Ltd. Our greenhouses are located in Bozhou in Anhui province, where we have approximately 40 hectares (400 mu). Our production volume per mu is around 2500 kg. This year's production volume is similar to last year's. The market price has risen slightly compared to the same period last year."
Different kinds of melons in the contract
"When it comes to producing cantaloupes, one of the main factors that influences our production volume is the weather, and especially the temperature. Secondly, while melons are getting ripe, you have to increase field management and use fertilizer appropriately. Only that will guarantee that the melon roots are growing healthily."
