On the morning of 10 July, the 2017 International Blueberry Summit News Conference was introduced in Qujing. The International Blueberry Organization (IBO) decided that the 5th International Blueberry Summit will be held in Qujing from 9-12 September. After Chile, Mexico, Australia, Argentina and Uruguay, this will be the first time that the summit is held in China.
The News Conference
This International Blueberry Summit will be organized by the Qujing government, the Yunnan Department of Agriculture and the International Blueberry Organization. The Blueberry branch of the China Good Agri-Products Association and the Joy Wing Mau Group will also participate. This summit's topic will be "South of the colorful clouds - A new vision for blueberries worldwide". The main location will be the Qujing Hall.
This summit will welcome 29 representatives of 15 member countries of the International Blueberry Association, industry representatives, provincial leaders of the Department of Agriculture, the Part committee, the National People's Congress, the provincial government, the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and other relevant governmental departments, and well-known Chinese experts, companies, and other representatives of the supply chain. During the summit, the International Blueberry Organization will hold a round table conference, present the results of the agricultural developments of plateau farming in the Chinese blueberry industry in Qujing, and hold a development forum. Furthermore, they will launch the night of the blueberries, and visit blueberry production sites.
