Grapa reminds European grape growers of unlicensed growth penalties

AVI s.r.l. and Grapa Varieties have put out a reminder to growers in the Europe Union of the penalties for growing their seedless GRAPAES (Early Sweet) and ARRA table grape varieties without a license.

"These proprietary varieties are subject to license for growing, marketing and royalty payment. When grown in Europe, these varieties are marketed exclusively by AVI s.r.l." they said in a release.

"Any unauthorized use of plant material and/or Trademark names pertaining to these varieties (including but not limited to grafting, propagating, planting, growing, distributing or marketing) is forbidden under the relevant IP laws in Europe."

"All growers, nurseries, distributors and marketers of table grapes in Europe should be warned that any infringement of these rights may lead to legal action against the offending party, resulting in serious consequences."
